Description

Endera was founded with the purpose of making high quality commercial electric fleet vehicles in 2019. Creating the Endera line of all-electric vehicles stems from a belief that our world deserves better. Our founders set out on a mission to build an all-electric commercial vehicle that is dependable, technologically advanced, cost effective, and energy efficient. With a clear goal to guide the way, Endera has grown rapidly and has become the leader in delivering state of the art, high quality commercial electric vehicles to market. We will continue to innovate and do our part to preserve the environment by creating vehicles to reduce carbon emissions.

About the Role
Endera Motors is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and production of commercial EV and non-EV buses. This role bridges the gap between mechanical design and manufacturing execution, ensuring that production methods, tooling, and assembly processes are incorporated into CAD models, drawings, and documentation. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with the mechanical engineering, production, and quality teams to drive manufacturability, repeatability, and production efficiency.

What You’ll Do
• Collaborate with the Mechanical Engineering team to incorporate manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacture principles into CAD and drawing packages.
• Review and approve drawings for manufacturability, tolerancing, and compliance with ASME, Endera Drawing SOP, and applicable industry standards.
• Develop and maintain production process documentation including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Define manufacturing methods, fixture requirements, and tooling to support prototype and production builds.
• Support factory layout planning and line setup for new product introduction (NPI).
• Lead process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to increase throughput and reduce waste.
• Interface with suppliers to ensure manufacturability and cost targets are achieved.
• Support Change Management and Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy by maintaining alignment between design and production data.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process simplification, and improved assembly sequence.
• Provide feedback to the design team on cost, manufacturability, and production readiness.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent CAD tools for process review and fixture design.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and process flow design.
• Ability to translate engineering intent into practical manufacturing methods.
• Familiarity with PLM, ERP, and documentation control systems.

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or process engineering role supporting vehicle, heavy equipment, or industrial products. No sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in automotive or commercial vehicle production environments.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma or related continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 quality management systems.
• Experience in PFMEA, control plans, and process validation documentation.
• Understanding of APQP and PPAP requirements.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation with meaningful equity, vacation, and benefit package.
