Utility Operator - PR

Reports to:  Department Manager                  

Supervises:  N/A

Summary Statement:   Under the general supervision of the Department Manager, the person in this position fills in for all department sewing jobs following all established work and safety procedures.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain working knowledge of all sewing operations.
• Fill in temporary vacancies within the department, often with little or no advance notice.
• Perform repair work as needed.
• Know and identify quality measures.
• Inform Maintenance of any machine problems or concerns.

Marginal Job Functions

• Assist other personnel as time and knowledge permit.
• Participate in training and meetings as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to work professionally as part of a team with other department employees.
• Must collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
• Must be able to comprehend and perform duties using established work and safety procedures.
• Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
• Must perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workloads.
• Must be detail oriented.

Education and Work Experience

• Three years' sewing experience is required.
