- EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent is often required.
- Vocational training or certification or prior of experience in facilities management, HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, or a related field
- Class C Driver’s License with Clean Record
- SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance tasks and repairs on building systems and equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to pay close attention to details while performing maintenance tasks and inspections.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and report maintenance issues.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team to accomplish maintenance and repair tasks efficiently.
- Understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, boilers, chillers, and pumps.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components, including basic troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems, fixtures, and repairs.
- Awareness of local building codes and regulations related to facilities management and maintenance.
- Ability to operate and maintain various tools and equipment used in facilities maintenance.
- Basic proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or similar software for work order management and tracking.
