Eden Valley Store Manager

STORE MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION: Deliver friendly, honest, and focused customer service by being part of the Jack’s Companies team! We do a variety of tasks to keep your day fresh, such as: leading and training the staff, having the ability to increase sales with innovative sales ideas, providing excellent customer service, and management of day to day store operations.

1. Responsible for overall operation of store assigned
2. Recruit, interview, hire, train and coach store leadership and staff
3. Work in close partnership with Food Service Lead to maintain kitchen standards
4. Lead store team through constant supervision, training, and feedback
5. Motivate, encourage, and challenge store employees
6. Conduct store meetings as needed with employees
7. Ensure all staff is trained on proper cash handling procedures, pump authorizations, and store is well kept
8. Trains staff how to up-sell our customers so they get the most value for their money
9. Trains team on how to follow First In First Out method with food inventory
10. Motivate others to perform the job and work towards common objectives. Serve as a role model to others instilling a positive attitude in his/her employees
11. Monitor cash over/short, inventory shrinkage, and drive offs daily
12. Responsible for store profits, and all controllable expenses including labor, inventory levels, and cash and inventory shortages
13. Promote and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
14. Ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed in a safe manner thus maintaining a quality brand image
15. Implement and enforce established daily operating procedures to ensure store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well kept
16. Implement monthly/weekly promotions, insure all POS advertising/signage is properly posted at the proper time
17. Complete daily paperwork and computer entry in a timely manner
18. Make frequent inspections of all work, storage, and servicing areas to determine that regulations and directions governing Food Service activities are followed including compliance with safety and sanitation (Meet with Lead of food service area regularly during the day)
19. Understand all information in the daily reporting of store operations
20. Communicate and perform all price change request, mark downs/ups as requested by management
21. Implement and enforce all merchandising and vendor policies and procedures
22. Have the physical ability to perform all duties of a store cashier regularly
23. Strong attention to detail
24. Excellent customer service skills and ensures prompt service
25. Strong work ethic and integrity
26. Able to walk and stand for 100% of shift
27. Ability to travel for meetings scheduled away from store location
28. Ability to work in heated and/or freezer area for stocking purposes
29. Able to lift, carry, or push up to 35 lbs.
30. Previous retail management experience required
31. Must have flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays
32. Proven attendance record
33. Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
