Position Overview:  

The Production Equipment Technician specializes in and is responsible for maintenance, repair, trouble shooting, and commissioning of production equipment, including but not limited to Gas Dehydration Units, VRU, Combustor, BMS equipment, Heater Treaters, Thief Hatch, and Tank repairs. Responsible for assessing equipment needs, identifying suppliers, and ensuring proper and timely installation and maintenance of equipment.  Required to provide training to Field Service Technicians as needed.  Rotational Scheduling required.  No relocation offered for this position.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assess equipment needs of an organization.
  • Ensure the timely delivery and installation of equipment and oversee the development of any necessary infrastructure.
  • Maintain customer relationships and manage ongoing maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and regulatory requirements related to equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, and repair history for reporting and auditing purposes.
  • Provide training on equipment operation and maintenance to other technician team members and customers as required.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure it meets safety standards.
  • Document and report equipment issues, repairs, and maintenance activities
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions.
  • Technical skills in equipment troubleshooting and repair

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or 1-3 years working experience in oil and gas industry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 1-3 years working experience in oil and gas industry.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working hands on with VRU, Combustor, BMS, and Dehydration equipment. Knowledge of equipment maintenance, repair, and safety standards.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years Oil and Gas service in field environment.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Leadership Experience
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record 
  • Successfully pass and obtain DOT certification  
  • Successfully pass and obtain DISA certification 
  • Proficient skills with the latest versions of MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook 
  • Must be able to recognize and treat information with required appropriate confidentiality  
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. 
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position.

  • A desire to learn and stay updated on the latest equipment and maintenance practices
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics
  • Knowledge of basic electronic systems and wiring
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems quickly and efficiently.

  • Vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Vision to accurately read all related distribution documents and computer monitor screens.

  • Position is 80% outside environment. Workers are subjected to weather elements and must be accustomed to performing tasks in potentially adverse conditions.
