Description

Position Overview:

Provides front-end engineering and estimating support to sales group for standard and custom production equipment opportunities. Products include gas production units, packaged separation skids, separators, vapor recovery units, emission control devices, glycol dehydration skids, stabilization, and Joule-Thomson skids.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepare cost estimates utilizing standard costs, past manufacturing history, engineering specifications, labor hours and rates, material costs, and other technical data
  • Develop customer proposals, including price, delivery, and supporting documents in accordance with provided specifications and standards guidelines
  • Familiar with GPSA and API sizing methods; particularly separator sizing, heater sizing, glycol dehydrator sizing, stabilization/absorber tower sizing, control and relief valve and line sizing
  • Experience in BRE Promax or Aspen HYSIS process simulators
  • Experience in using Codeware Compress software a plus
  • Interfaces with sales team and customers to provide technical support and product knowledge
  • Prepares change order estimates in conjunction with engineering, shop, and project management.
  • Familiar with industry standard instrument and valve OEMs with general working knowledge
  • Working knowledge of industry standards such as ASME, API, and GPSA codes
  • Consults with fabrication facilities, sub-vendors, engineering, and account managers to determine accuracy and validity of estimate. Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
  • Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
  • Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work
  • Proficient in defining, estimating, and understanding instrumentation with or without customer specs/P&ID
  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Cimarron
  • Know and understand Cimarron Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures, and Workplace Instructions
  • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical or Chemical engineering from an accredited institution
  • 1-3 years relevant experience
  • Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of facility location will be considered

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineering or Engineer in Training Certificate
  • Experience with Infor Syteline ERP system
  • BRE Promax / HYSIS process simulator experience
  • Codeware compress experience
  • Familiarity with local product vendors and pricing

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational and administrative skills, including computer proficiency
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Capable of effectively representing Cimarron Energy in community and professional settings
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends and off-shifts as needed. Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Must be able to multi task, establish priorities, delegate to others and hold them accountable
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule that provides the appropriate level of direct involvement and leadership
  • Travel as needed
