Description

SUMMARY

Serves as the primary technical owner and subject matter expert for the WELS HubSpot platform. This role is central to the WELS Digital Ministry Transformation initiative, responsible for the strategic configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the HubSpot ecosystem. The HubSpot Specialist will empower ministry areas to effectively connect with members, communities, and those seeking spiritual answers online by leveraging a unified digital platform.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Platform Administration and Optimization:
    • Manage the day-to-day administration and configuration of the HubSpot Enterprise Platform, including Marketing, CMS, and Service Hubs, with the CRM as the central source of truth.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain complex workflows, automations, and sequences to support automated nurturing and personalized outreach efforts.
    • Manage system assets including forms, landing pages, email templates, and call-to-action buttons.
    • Ensure the health and integrity of the CRM database through data cleansing, list segmentation, and effective property management.
  • Internal Consultation and Support:
    • Act as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for internal HubSpot users, providing timely troubleshooting, training, and ongoing support.
    • Work with the Communications Digital Strategist to consult with WELS Areas of Ministry to understand their strategic goals and translate ministry needs into effective HubSpot solutions.
    • Provide access to comprehensive documentation, best-practice guides, and training materials to educate users on platform capabilities.
  • Strategic Implementation and Project Management:
    • Collaborate directly with external consulting partners to ensure the successful architecture, rollout, and strategic alignment of the platform.
    • Plan, test, and manage the implementation of new HubSpot features, integrations, and applications to enhance ministry capabilities.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of migrating key ministry websites from the current WordPress ecosystem to the HubSpot CMS Hub.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
    • Assist with the design and maintain dashboards and reports to measure audience engagement, campaign effectiveness, and progress toward ministry goals.
    • Analyze digital interaction data to identify trends, provide actionable insights, and inform future communication strategies.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience administering a HubSpot Enterprise environment, with demonstrated expertise across the Marketing Hub, CMS Hub, and Service Hub.
  • Proven experience building and managing complex workflows, automations, custom reports, and data segmentation strategies.
  • Strong understanding of inbound marketing principles and CRM database management.
  • Experience with website content management systems and website migration projects is highly desirable.
  • HubSpot certifications (e.g., HubSpot Admin, Marketing Software, CMS for Marketers) are strongly preferred.
