BASIC PURPOSE: Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Facilities Supervisor manages and directs maintenance and janitorial operations and staff at all FCC facilities, and maintains the FCC fleet of vehicles. The Facilities Supervisor also ensures that the facilities department works with programs to ensure program needs are met within the financial parameters available.

This position typically starts at the mid wage range which can vary based on education and experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage, direct, plan and coordinate all facility maintenance activities at all FCC locations, including, but not limited to, general repair and upkeep, janitorial, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, grounds, fleet of vehicles and staff assignments, schedules and supervision. Assure work order requests are following the procedures and are completed timely.
• Manage all purchasing functions within facilities. Work with the assigned FCC staff to oversee the paperwork and administration items that need to get done for facilities department. Assure supplies at all FCC locations are ordered and maintained on a regular schedule. Work cooperatively with program staff to ensure programs are able to serve clients effectively, within budgeted limits, if any.  
• Long term planning and budgeting of replacements and expected repairs, given life expectancies and reasonable usage of all equipment under the facilities. Work with CFO on projecting a reasonable budgeting plan, keeping in mind green initiatives, as appropriate. Provide regular communication with Senior Leadership Team of improvement initiatives.
• Assure all policies and procedures are updated and reviewed on a regular basis. Assure they are consistent with licensing requirements and safety regulations.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ENVIRONMENT
Education, Training & Work Experience: Minimum High School diploma, or equivalent. Experience in building maintenance with knowledge and/or specialized training in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and autos. Experience in budget development and long-range planning for capital improvement.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills: Basic computer skills, utilizing Gmail, Microsoft Windows, and Excel. Utilize facilities and auto software system.  

Equipment & Applications: Ability to utilize trade tools safely and effectively. Ability to operate light machinery. Valid, current state of MN or WI driver’s license and ability to be insured under FCC auto insurance.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Frequent lifting, bending, twisting. Ability to lift objects greater than 50 pounds over your head. May occasionally be exposed to dust, dirt, loud noise and cleaning chemicals. Ability to climb ladders at reasonable heights.
