The Side Pack Welding Quality Inspector is responsible for evaluating the quality of welds and structural assemblies, ensuring adherence to engineering drawings, welding procedures, and applicable codes/standards (AWS, ASME, ISO, etc.). This role plays a key part in maintaining production quality and safety in side pack components.
Job Summary:
- Appropriate usage of all required PPE.
- Checks the quality of sidepacks for Dakota Bodies by conducting tests, monitoring production processes and identifying malfunctions.
- Collaborates with the plant manufacturing team and operations staff to deliver the highest quality product possible.
- Tracks quality assessments to ensure the plant output meet expectations daily.
- Utilizes checklists, standard work, quality standards, engineering standards, and iAuditor templates to monitor the manufacturing process and report on plant quality KPI’s.
- Follows product through the entirety of the manufacturing process to ensure each step is completed as intended.
- Performs detailed inspections of raw materials and final products and confirm they are manufactured to standard.
- Tracks, records, and maintains quality assurance data.
- Performs other duties as required.
