This position is responsible for the timely and accurate review of conditions required by the Credit Underwriter in order to issue final loan approval. Items required in condition reviews include, but are not limited to credit, employment, income, financial data, and asset documentation. A Condition Underwriter ensures the items provided meet the investor & regulatory requirements for items requested by the Credit Underwriter to adhere to quality standards and maximize the borrower’s chances of obtaining and sustaining homeownership.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for reviewing 14-16 Condition files per day while minimizing any risk to the company by ensuring the documentation provided meets the requirement set forth by the credit underwriter and compliance with our investors, agencies, HUD, VA, USDA or HFA’s, as applicable.
- Responsible for Communicating with Internal and External Sales Partners, Underwriters, Processors/BCs, Closers, etc. on condition items that are unable to be cleared.
- Responsible for remaining updated on all investor, agency, FHA, VA, UHM guideline changes along with any overlays.
- Ensure the accuracy of all necessary criteria for specific loan types, products, rates, applicable documentation, and data.
- Maintain Quality Control ratings within company standards.
- Attend appropriate seminars, live and recorded courses to keep abreast on current market trends and developments.
- Provide training support to sales force, as needed.
- Responsible for listening in on departmental huddles.
- Assist loan officers, broker partners, and/or NDC Clients with scenarios and explaining any conditions that are not clear to them.
