Crossing Guard

Primary Objective:

• Responsible for providing safe crossing at crosswalks for children in the proximity of schools.

Major Areas of Accountability:

• Directs and regulates the flow of traffic and supervises the crossing of streets during the hours when children are going to and returning from school.
• Ensures the safety of children in crossing busy streets.
• Controls vehicular traffic at a designated crossing to allow children to cross safely.

Hours of employment:

• 10 hours per week (2 hours per day)
