Position Summary

The role of the ­­­­Pricing Utilization Analyst reports to the Materials Director. This position is responsible for providing data analysis regarding purchasing contracts, supply consumption, waste or loss.    May participate in, or lead projects as required by the Department Director.

 

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients
  • Review data to identify and support the hospital’s goal to identify cost savings, standardize product lines and maintain quality
  • Assist the Materials Value Analyst in identifying the Hospital’s Group Purchasing contracts for possible access and product conversion by utilizing the Materials Management database and other available resources

Qualifications

  • Education:  College degree, preferred.  High school diploma with extensive analytical experience would be considered.  
  • Licensure and Certifications: N/A
  • Experience:   Extensive experience in using analytical software programs required, including Microsoft Excel, Access, Veradigm, Epic, or other supply chain or medical based software’s.     Previous knowledge of medical terminology and supplies as demonstrated in a healthcare environment, preferred. Previous experience in medical buying or similar environment, preferred.

 

Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment This position will spend 20% of time. standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 pounds.
