Position Summary

The role of the Office Coordinator reports to the Clinic Manager. This position is responsible for supervision of the front office workflow and staff.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers, patients, guests, and coworkers in a positive and professional manner.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, clinic staff, and providers.
  • Perform office and administrative duties in an effective and efficient manner, including answering calls, process medical record request, scheduling appointments, registering patients, collecting co-payments and deductibles, and verifying insurance eligibility.
  • Scan documents into the electronic medical record system.
  • Build and maintain physician schedules.
  • Resolve hold bills and assist with patient billing questions.
  • Actively participate in the hiring and training process of front office staff.
  • Responsible for front office day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed.
  • Super-user and subject matter expect for front desk computer programs.
  • Provide information to interdisciplinary providers, as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Licensure and Certifications: N/A
  • Experience: Two years of previous medical office experience, preferred.  Familiarity with medical terminology as well as various medical insurance carriers, required. 

Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of the time sitting while performing work in a standard office setting and 20% of work time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs.
