Position Summary

The role of the Cancer Support Home Assistant reports to the Cancer Support Home Manager. This position is responsible for upholding the CSH mission to provide hope and comfort to those on a cancer journey.  This includes assisting with all CSH programs. This position will assist data entry and participate in community events. 

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Provide service to clients and guests
  • Thorough knowledge of the operation of the boutique, adept at assisting clients in the boutique, and assisting manager with maintaining inventory
  • Enter client information into the database and ensure accuracy
  • Assist with overnight lodging requests and lodging calendar as needed
  • Perform overnight lodging guest check-in process and provide facility tours
  • Assist with needs during overnight lodging guests stays
  • Assist with planning and facilitating weekly connection activities
  • Partner with leadership to create social media and newsletter content
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED, required.

Licensure/Certifications: N/A

Experience: Previous experience with a nonprofit organization, preferred.

Work Environment: This position will spend 60% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment and 40% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs.
