Position Summary
The role of the Medical Records Tech reports to the Center Manager. This position is responsible for preparing medical charts for PACE participants as it relates to program needs.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Partner with internal and external clients to receive medical records and upload into charts, as necessary
- Create and maintain data sheets to ensure up to date information is available and information is received timely processing as set by PACE regulations
- Partner with Quality Coordinator to process release of information requests in accordance with local, state, federal, and organization policies and procedures
- Maintain records of orientation and employee education to maintain licensure in accordance with PACE and Adult Day Health Care regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED, required. Bachelor’s degree in business, preferred.
- Licensure and Certifications: N/A
- Experience: One year of experience in a medical record tech role, preferred. Previous experience in a medical setting, preferred.
Work Environment: This position will spend 60% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 40% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
