Summary
The Production Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the production schedule to ensure on-time delivery of products while maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs. They work closely with various departments to balance production demands with available resources, materials, and capacity.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule Development: Execute daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly scheduling goals.
- Capacity Planning: Analyze and optimize production capacity to meet demand while avoiding bottlenecks and overproduction.
- Material Coordination: Collaborate with purchasing and inventory control to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Manage OSP for all departments.
- Communication: Coordinate with sales, customer service, and production teams to communicate schedule changes and potential issues.
- Assist operations team with all procurement needs.
- Documentation: Print and distribute routers, shop cards, and drawings to all four revenue streams to ensure accurate and efficient production processes.
- Data Analysis: Track production performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvements to optimize scheduling processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in production scheduling or a similar role.
- Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., ERP systems) and MS Office Suite.
- Attributes: Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Primarily office environment with frequent visits to production areas.                   Â
