The Oklahoma City Thunder is seeking a college student to join our Emmy Award-winning broadcast team. This hands-on experience will include camera shoots, editing and honing your skills with broadcast and social media platform strategy. You will collaborate with multiple departments across the organization to create content for cross platform coverage of partnerships/events/games/community service projects.
Spring internships begin January 12, 2026. Our internship program provides practical work experience in a professional environment as well as supplemental program activities such as resume reviews, personal and professional development workshops and other events crafted to enrich the internship experience. We also offer perks such as paid downtown parking and tickets to a home game during the season!

In this role you will:

Shadow broadcast personnel and game-night personnel as we collect video coverage at a variety of events around the community and select home games

Learn proper camera techniques using Canon cameras

Work with the broadcasting team in the organization, creation and editing of professional projects using Avid and Adobe Premiere/After Effects

Shoot and edit content for game broadcasts and social media platforms

Perform occasional office and administrative duties designed to show the full cycle of the department processes

Participate in company-scheduled internship program activities

Perform other duties as assigned
What you bring to the role:

Presently enrolled at an accredited college or university with junior or senior level standing and approved by your school to receive course credit for the internship

Pursuing a degree in Broadcasting, Journalism, Marketing, or Creative Media production preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel

Knowledge of professional video cameras, Avid and Adobe creative suite, preferred

Ability to communicate content across various platforms including print, web, audio, and video

Ability to work independently or on a team, while managing multiple projects with limited supervision

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Additional details:
This is a paid, in-person internship, reporting to the Broadcast Production Lead. The work schedule requires 16-30 hours per week, which includes hours during regular office hours, as well as game nights, which occur on evenings, weekends, and holidays. The primary work location will be the Paycom Center in downtown Oklahoma City. The internship will involve in-arena activities with exposure to loud music, crowd noise, and flashing lights. Events may take place in both indoor and outdoor venues with varying temperatures. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary for occasional local travel. Physical demands include the ability to climb chairs and lift items up to 50 pounds.
