Location: On-site position in Norfolk, VA

Position: Senior Enterprise Architect
Security Clearance: SECRET clearance required (Interim acceptable during adjudication)

The Senior Enterprise Architect will lead contractor efforts, serve as the government’s primary point of contact, and support the Military Sealift Command (MSC) in designing, documenting, and maintaining enterprise IT architectures aligned with MSC’s strategic and operational goals. The candidate must have demonstrated experience with DoDAF frameworks and working across C4 environments in a DoD setting.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Security Clearance: Active SECRET (or Interim SECRET) required.
  • Education: B.S. degree in engineering, math, or science.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 10 years in enterprise architecture or related leadership roles.
    • Demonstrated implementation of EA frameworks within a federal agency.
    • Experience in systems/software design, IT security, data center operations, and IP networking.
    • Ability to support enterprise-level decision-making and lifecycle documentation using DoDAF 2.0.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with senior government stakeholders.
  • Certifications (Required):
    • FEAC Certified ACEA Green Belt (or equivalent).
    • DODM 8140.03 / DODI 8140.02 Qualification for Advanced Enterprise Architect (651) — Examples of certifications that typically meet this requirement include:
      • Open Group TOGAF 9/10 Certification
      • Zachman Certified - Enterprise Architect
      • FEAC Certified Enterprise Architect (CEA)
      • DoD CIO Certificate Program in Enterprise Architecture
      • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) + demonstrable architecture experience
      • GIAC Enterprise Architect (GEA)
      • Global EA Certification from EA Principals or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: M.S. degree from an institution accredited by ABET or CHEA.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
    • FEAC Certified CEA Black Belt
    • ITIL v3/v4 Certification
    • Certified Integrated Enterprise Architect Practitioner (CIEAP) or similar
  • Tools and Frameworks:
    • Experience with tools such as Spec Innovations Innoslate, Rational System Architect, Rational DOORS, Traceline, Sparx EA, or equivalent DoD architecture tools
    • Familiarity with DoDAF, TOGAF, and FEAF frameworks
