Essential Functions
• Provide Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for deployments, updates, and maintenance of cloud environments to include but not limited to: Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation, and others.
• Provide on-boarding and migrations of new and current Projects/Applications in the cloud, cloud to cloud, or cloud to on-prem
• Manage the IPV6 current state and implementation with multi-cloud deployments.
• Provide engineering support within multiple cloud service providers to meet current and future initiatives, business requirements and needs, as well as future enhancements, directives, and goals.
• Utilize and follow guidelines regarding Change Management Processes.
• Support the Government’s efforts related to its cloud requirements as follows:
• Enhance, optimize, administer, support, and analyze cloud hosting infrastructures, leveraging virtualization, automation, and orchestration technologies.
• Contribute to the cloud architectural design, analysis, migration, and implementation.
• Maintain information technology infrastructure both remotely and onsite when needed.
• Provide the requisite expertise to facilitate the proper management of a multi-cloud environment (e.g., Public, Private, or Hybrid Cloud) that provides services such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
• Engage and support Operation & Maintenance activities as an escalation point for resolving major incidents or problem analysis.
• Assist the Government in building and creating a detailed plan for maintenance of the Concept of Operations (CONOPS). The CONOPS should be as fully automated as is reasonable, practical, and consistent with industry leading practices.
• Modify and maintain as needed a CONOPS that includes:
• Creation of manual and/or automated backup scripts, enabling both partial and/or complete recovery of affected environments.
• Creation of detailed procedure outlining the proper sequences to perform the shutdown and restoration processes.
• Contractor shall maintain and improve current network security posture by utilizing industry leading practices and methodologies.
• Ensuring upgrade of current versions of supported software as they become available.
• Scheduling downtime to minimize user impact.
