Location: Haverhill, MA and surrounding areas

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:30am-2:00pm

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

The Recovery Coach is responsible for:

  • Promoting recovery and removes barriers and obstacles to recovery.
  • Serving as a personal guide and mentor for people seeking or already in recovery from an addiction to alcohol and/or other drugs.
  • Modeling recovery principles and practices at all times.
  • Providing linkages to recovery-oriented, peer support self-help supports and services and community-based mental health, substance use disorder, and family support programs.
  • Serving as a liaison between the recovery community, the addiction treatment system, the medical treatment system, and the member’s community, family, and social context to facilitate connections across systems of care

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Achievement of a minimum of 2 years of uninterrupted recovery required achievement of 3-5 years of uninterrupted recovery preferred.
  • Recovery coach certification required within the first 12 months of employment.
  • Ability to use an Electronic Health Record to document medically necessary clinical services.
  • Strong skills in the areas of communication, follow through, collaboration, and customer service.
  • Ability to read and write English and communicate effectively in the primary language of the program to which he/she is assigned.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.  Must have access to a safe, operational, and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport participants.
