Position Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Vegetation Manager to oversee all aspects of vegetation management for our Vegetation Management / Land Clearing Department. The Vegetation Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing vegetation control projects, ensuring safety, compliance with regulations, and high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have expertise in arboriculture, vegetation control, and team leadership.
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and execute vegetation management projects, including tree trimming, removal, land clearing, and herbicide application.
- Supervise and lead field crews in tree care and vegetation control tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and utility regulations.
- Develop and maintain vegetation management schedules to meet client needs and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and assess tree and vegetation hazards, providing advice to clients.
- Implement best practices in integrated vegetation management, including the safe application of herbicides when necessary.
- Manage equipment and materials, ensuring that all tools are in proper working order.
- Coordinate with utility companies, municipalities, and private clients to achieve project goals.
- Monitor and report on project progress, budgets, and crew performance.
- Provide training and guidance to crew members to ensure adherence to safety protocols and company standards.
