Position Summary

Following The Preferred Banking Pledge performs a variety of functions with an emphasis on supporting the retail branches and achieving operational excellence. The incumbent will be knowledgeable and cross-trained in all aspects of Deposit Operations including Quality Control, Item Processing, Debit Card Administration, Disputes and Legal.  After successful completion of onboarding/introductory period, this position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with availability expected during core business hours and a minimum of three days a week onsite.

 

Responsibilities

*Responsibilities listed are the duties of all Deposit Operations Specialist Staff and will not solely be assigned to the applicant. *

  • Quality Control related functions including but not limited to, New Account and Account Modification Review, IRA Document Review, Safe Deposit Box Document Review and Exception Review.
  • Debit Cards related duties including but not limited to, Dispute Processing and Reg E Compliance, card inventory management, auditing of branches, monthly preparation of Reg E Log.
  • Item Processing duties including but not limited to, daily handling of Load Errors, Rejected Items, Chargebacks, Reclamations and Account Adjustments.
  • Legal duties including but not limited to processing Levies, Subpoenas, Summons to Trustee and IRS B-Notices.
  • Other duties may include decisioning checks presented for mobile deposit, posting of incoming wires and other transaction processing.
  • Cross train in all other duties and responsibilities in the Deposit Operations area to perform other tasks as needed

Qualifications

Experience

1 to 3 years of experience in banking and a strong understanding of computer technologies including Microsoft Office applications, data warehouse tools, and other programs.

 

Specific Skills Required

Computer Skills                                         

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to utilize 10-15 applications necessary to complete daily job functions as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft networking and applications.  A background in query writing or SQL may be required based on specific duties of the position. Incumbents must demonstrate proficiency in database management and ad hoc reporting.

Physical Requirements

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
