Position Summary

Computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties.

 

Responsibilities

  • Reconciles bank check accounts daily.
  • Reviews stop payments on bank checks and ensure documentation provided is accurate and complete.
  • Prepares daily reconciliations for Zelle and The Clearing House networks.
  • Assists with daily suspense account reconciliations as needed.
  • Processes the end of day closing procedures of WITS wire system.
  • Prepares various general ledger reconciliations as needed.
  • Assists with the accounts payable process and remits payments to vendors via check or ACH.
  • Balances monthly expenses on a rotational basis with other team members.
  • Processes foreign checks for collection as necessary to ensure timely collection as needed.
  • Prepares daily reconciliation of ATM network settlement activity.
  • Cross-training on other applicable accounting functions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Specific Skills Required

Technology Skills

  • All employees are expected to possess basic technology skills including knowledge of basic PC's skills.  Additional levels of technology skills may be required based on specific duties of the position.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software and Spreadsheet software.
