Statewide Infection Control Nurse

We are currently seeking a full-time Infection Control Nurse (Statewide) to join our team at MO Regional Office located in Jefferson City, Missouri.

The Infection Control Nurse (Statewide) is responsible for performing a variety of duties involved in the prevention and control of infectious disease to include the collection, definition, interpretation and reporting of data in a systematic manner in Statewide system. Assist site staff with care plan development and provision of care for patients with acute and chronic infectious disease and serves as a consultant for nurses, physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding care, tracking and reporting of patients identified with infectious disease.

• Must hold valid RN license or LPN license (with approval) in Missouri, CIC (certification in infection control) preferred
• 1 to 3 years’ experience providing nursing care in a public health environment or acute care setting with focus on infection prevention and control
• Experience working with a high degree of autonomy required
• Must maintain current tuberculosis screening documentation and active CPR certification
• Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
• Must submit to and pass drug testing per agency requirements where applicable
• Must have at least two (2) years of related correctional experience or correctional healthcare experience, with a state correctional system
