Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- HS (GED) required, Associate degree or higher preferred
- 3 to 5 years’ experience setting up and running a flexographic press or other similar presses in a printing or packaging facility.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in make-ready and operating a flexographic press.
- Experience leading others or supporting a team.Â
- Ability to prioritize and think proactively.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos as well as disseminate information from customers or other employees within the organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, circumference, and volume. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to communicate with others in a respectful and professional manner.
- Excellent organization skills
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Training Requirements:
- Willing to attend required training courses or sessions related to the job as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 pounds with assistance. Sitting, standing, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities required to include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus on small details.
- Pass a pre-employment drug test and subject to random drug screening.
Work Environment:
- Regular exposure to dust and noise, moving mechanical parts in the production environment.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Safety shoes and safety glasses are highly recommended in the production area.Â
- Must follow all Company safety regulations.
