We’re looking for a proactive, resourceful Sales Research Coordinator who loves digging into data, uncovering new opportunities, and helping a sales team win. In this fast-paced, part-time role, you’ll be the engine behind our prospecting efforts—building targeted lead lists, enhancing CRM insights, and coordinating sample kits that get our products into the right hands at the right time. This part-time role is approximately 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling that can accommodate school, ideally worked during the day as either 4 days at 5 hours each or 3 days at 7 hours each. As the Sales Research Coordinator you will support the Sales and Marketing teams by executing prospect research, maintaining CRM data accuracy, and managing product sample fulfillment workflows. Providing these research and sampling processes for our sales teams allows the sellers to focus on selling, improves data integrity for reporting and campaigns, shortens time-to-first-touch, and increases the effectiveness of targeted sampling efforts. As the Sales Research Coordinator, your contributions will ultimately drive higher conversion from outreach to qualified customer conversations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Prospect & Contact Research (65%)

  • Build target account lists by industry, revenue, geography, and product fit.
  • Identify buyer roles (e.g., Packaging Engineer, Procurement, Brand/Marketing, Operations) and capture verified contact information (name, title, email, phone, LinkedIn).
  • Enrich accounts with firmographics such as HQ location, number of facilities, brands, formats used, recent news/funding, and product categories.
  • Validate data accuracy through email verification, duplicate review, and adherence to standard naming conventions.
  • Enter and update records in CRM and tracking sheets; assign leads to appropriate sales owners.

2) Sample Kit Collation & Logistics (35%)

  • Assemble and package product/sample kits tailored to target accounts.
  • Track inventory of sample components; flag low stock levels and coordinate replenishment.
  • Pack, label, and ship kits; capture carrier details and tracking numbers in the CRM.
  • Monitor delivery status and note outcomes for sales follow-up.

3) Additional duties as requested.

Qualifications

Requirements:
Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma required.  Working towards Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in research, sales support, or marketing operations.
  • Strong online research skills and comfort with professional networking platforms (e.g., LinkedIn).
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable clean motor vehicle record (MVR).

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Organized, detail oriented. Able to multi-task and prioritize competing requests to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with concise note-taking and consistent formatting.
  • Prior experience using some type of CRM software. Ex: Salesforce or other CRM software, Apollo (or similar), LinkedIn Navigator.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Excel and Outlook).
  • Proficient with project management and sales/CRM software (Smartsheet, Salesforce, Microsoft Project, etc.).
  • Able to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively with employees from other divisions of the organization.
  • Able to think creatively and solve problems.
  • Positive, customer-centric demeanor.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Training Requirements:

  • Willing to attend required training courses or sessions related to the job as assigned.

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting, sitting, standing, crouching, repetitive office tasks. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and subject to random drug screening.

Work Environment:

  • Regular exposure to dust and noise in the production environment.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Safety shoes and eye protection are highly recommended in the production areas.

Travel requirements:

  • None. This is an onsite, office position.
