Description

Colder’s, a family-owned furniture retailer with locations across the greater Milwaukee area, is looking for a Marketing Intern to join our team for Summer 2025! This paid internship offers hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and campaign strategy—perfect for students or recent graduates looking to build their portfolios and gain real-world experience in a fast-paced retail environment. You’ll work across various marketing initiatives and assist in different areas of the department, gaining a broad range of skills and exposure to multiple marketing channels.

Responsibilities:

Note: Not all of these areas will be required, but these are the key areas where you will provide support throughout the summer.

  • Social Media Management: Assist in creating, editing, and scheduling content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok, X)
  • Content Creation: Write copy for social media, email campaigns, and website content
  • Graphic Design: Use Adobe Suite or Canva to create marketing materials such as digital content, print media, and more
  • Video Production: Edit and produce video content for advertisements and social media
  • Email Marketing: Assist in designing and executing email marketing campaigns using Klaviyo
  • Website Support: Assist in updating website content and troubleshooting minor HTML/CSS edits
  • Campaign Development: Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm creative marketing ideas
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts
  • General Marketing Support: Assist with ad hoc tasks, helping with different projects as needed, and gaining exposure to various facets of the marketing department

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled or graduated with a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic arts, or a related field
  • Experience with social media management, content writing, or digital marketing
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator) or Canva is a plus
  • Basic understanding of video editing and motion graphics is a plus
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp) is a plus
