Position Type and Expected Work Hours: Full-time

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 2:30pm-10pm

Pay Rate: $17/hour based on experience, plus bonuses

SUMMARY

The Utility role performs a variety of manual labor tasks, assists with material handling, and is responsible for accurately cutting metal materials to customer specifications using industrial saws.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform general labor and support tasks including material movement, shop cleanup, and equipment maintenance.
  • Set up and operate industrial saws to cut metal stock (e.g., steel, aluminum) according to work orders and customer specifications.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklifts, pallet jacks.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to meet daily workflow and delivery schedules.
  • Performs truck loading as needed, including material handling, packing, wrapping, and routing of shipments.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

3 to 6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or G.E.D

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Fork-lift experience preferred or ability to become certified in fork-lift/4-D operations.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and use measurement tools (e.g., tape measure, calipers).
  • Ability to comprehend decimals and fractions.
  • Basic computer skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Lifts, moves, or positions materials weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Must remain in a stationary or standing position for the length of the shift.
