Job Summary: Â
Assure that each resident receives treatment, medication and diet as prescribed. Â Assist residents with activities of daily living. Provides physical comfort, safety and a watchful, protective oversight of all residents.Â
Responsibilities:Â
• Keep assigned resident’s apartment and belongings clean and in order.
• Make beds every day, changing linens per facility policy and as needed.
• Obtain vital signs and weight monthly and as assigned.
• Administer and document medications as prescribed by the physician in an efficient and timely manner.
• Keep resident charts and records current, neat and orderly.
• Assist with transfers and be knowledgeable of safe transfers.
• Complete training and required testing to properly administer medications.
• Ensure resident privacy, respect and dignity at all times.
• Detect and respond to any emergency, fire and disaster according to training and policy and procedure.
• Provide maximum resident care services to assure the well-being of the resident.
• Provide proper care to prevent decubitus ulcers and contractures.
• Implement designated activities for residents.
• Report any change of condition, to include cognition, physical ability or emotional wellbeing to the Assisted Living Nurse or in their absence the Assisted Living Manager. Â
