Salary: $68,000-$72,000 (Exempt)

We are seeking a strategic, data-savvy, and mission-driven professional to join us as our Director of Development Operations. In this key leadership role, you’ll be the architect behind the data, systems, and processes that fuel our fundraising efforts and deepen our relationships with donors and supporters.

The Director will supervise one direct report, the Advancement Associate, who is responsible for data entry and general support for the Office of Development and Communications.

What You’ll Do:

Be the Data Strategist:

  • Own and optimize our donor CRM (currently Blackbaud), ensuring data is clean, organized, and accessible to the entire team.

  • Lead projects that streamline systems, enhance reporting, and support targeted donor engagement.

Turn Insights Into Action:

  • Create reports and dashboards that measure campaign performance, track giving trends, and forecast future growth.

  • Guide the moves management process and giving pyramid with clear, actionable insights.

Ensure a Seamless Donor Journey:

  • Oversee accurate and timely gift processing and acknowledgments.

  • Partner with Finance to reconcile donations and maintain compliance with tax and nonprofit standards.

Shape Policy & Protect Data:

  • Develop and enforce best practices around data governance, gift processing, and donor stewardship.

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and fundraising regulations.

Coach, Lead, and Elevate:

  • Supervise and mentor the Advancement Associate, ensuring high standards and continuous learning.

  • Provide training and support to Development staff to maximize CRM adoption and efficiency.

Drive Strategic Collaboration:

  • Act as the bridge between Development, Finance, and leadership—ensuring data supports our strategy and decision-making.

  • Offer key insights during planning, forecasting, and campaign development.


     

Who You Are:

  • You bring at least 5 years of nonprofit database management experience, ideally with Blackbaud or a similar platform.

  • You have 1+ years of leadership experience and love helping others grow.

  • You’re highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented—but never lose sight of the bigger picture.

  • You communicate clearly and with purpose, and you know how to translate data into action.

  • You understand the donor lifecycle and are excited by the chance to help build and strengthen a mission-driven development program.
