ABOUT THE ROLE

The Metro Atlanta Chamber’s (MAC) Marketing team is seeking a Graphic Design & Digital Content Intern to join a collaborative team of marketers, strategists, and creatives dedicated to showcasing the story of metro Atlanta and helping unleash Atlanta’s ambition.

In this expanded role, you will support visual design, social media content creation, content capture at events, and updates to both the Atlanta Where You Belong (AWYB) and Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC) websites. This position is ideal for a creative, organized, digitally savvy intern who wants real-world experience across brand design, digital content, and storytelling.


What You’ll Do

Graphic Design

Support the creation of visual assets across MAC and AWYB channels, including:

  • Brand design (merchandise and brand assets)
  • Print materials (brochures, flyers, posters, print ads, presentations)
  • Digital media (email graphics, event materials, ads, infographics)
  • Social graphics + motion graphics

Social Media Content & Capture

  • Support social media content creation across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Capture on-site content at MAC programs, events, and AWYB activations (photos, short-form video, interviews, B-roll, and Atlanta neighborhoods)
  • Assist with editing social-first videos and optimizing graphics for platform-specific needs
  • Help brainstorm content ideas aligned with current trends and marketing campaigns

Website Content Support

  • Assist in updating content on AtlantaWhereYouBelong.com and MetroAtlantaChamber.com
  • Update photo galleries, event pages, vertical/industry pages, and talent-focused content
  • Upload new graphics and ensure visual consistency with brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to identify improvements and maintain fresh, relevant storytelling

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the brand, content, economic development, talent, policy, and investor relations teams
  • Assist in maintaining organized digital assets and file management
  • Provide project support for various marketing initiatives as needed

Requirements

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Canva
  • Comfort with WordPress and MailChimp
  • Comfort with basic video editing (Premiere, CapCut, or similar) preferred
  • Ability to take creative direction and follow brand guidelines
  • Apple MacBook proficiency
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
  • Positive, professional attitude and willingness to support multiple teams
  • Ability to adapt to evolving deadlines and fast-paced projects

  • Are currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Graphic Design, Digital Media, Marketing, or related program
  • Have a strong portfolio demonstrating design skills and creativity
  • Enjoy creating social media content and understand platform best practices
  • Have interest in web design or content management

  • Are motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
