ProAV Buyer

SUMMARY: Responsible for purchase of products from assigned vendors. Accountabilities include supplier vendor management, inventory management, purchase order execution and management, and logistics.  Works closely with other departments including Pro AV, Dealer Channel, Logistics, Finance, and Product Management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers including attending required supplier inventory meetings, etc.
• Prepare and process purchase orders based on inventory strategies (ABC Codes), aged inventory mitigation, and effective management of excess inventories.
• Negotiate cost, resolve cost issues, price protection, shipment ETAs and ASN’s.
• Expedite purchase orders as required.
• Manage supplier cost including but not limited to managing purchase price variance (PPV).
• Achieve optimal inventory turns and days of inventory on hand Inventory turns per goals.
• Work closely with finance to resolve any invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information via the ERP system.
• As required, work with the logistics to resolve in-bound receiving issues or other issues that may arise that are supplier related.
• Resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or costing in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s policies and procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in consumer electronics, appliances, or a related industry.
• Proven experience managing vendor relationships and purchase order execution.
• Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory management principles.
• Proficient in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or AS400.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with overseas suppliers is a plus.
