We are growing and strengthening our presence in the Lane County market, and we’re looking for a creative, energetic, data-driven Marketing Director to lead Solvang’s outreach, branding, and occupancy initiatives.
Position Summary
The Marketing Director is responsible for planning, developing, and executing Solvang’s strategic marketing and sales efforts with the goal of increasing occupancy, strengthening brand recognition, and supporting a world-class customer experience. This position is highly external-facing—building relationships with referral partners, healthcare providers, and the broader community—while also overseeing the internal tour experience, lead management, and move-in process.
The ideal candidate is an approachable professional with strong communication skills, a passion for senior living, and the ability to represent Solvang’s culture of warmth and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Lead Management
- Manage all incoming leads from phone, walk-ins, digital platforms, referral partners, events, and community outreach.
- Conduct high-quality tours that highlight Solvang’s values, culture, and services.
- Maintain accurate, timely data entry in the CRM; track lead stages, conversions, and marketing analytics.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director on weekly occupancy goals and forecasting.
Marketing & Outreach
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to increase occupancy and elevate Solvang’s presence in Eugene and surrounding areas.
- Build strong relationships with hospitals, case managers, home health agencies, skilled nursing facilities, and senior-serving organizations.
- Coordinate community events, open houses, sponsorships, and local partnerships to grow brand visibility.
- Manage Solvang’s digital presence, including social media, website updates (with SHM support), and online reputation platforms.
- Create marketing materials, flyers, presentations, and collateral that reflect Solvang’s brand standards.
Customer Experience & Move-In Coordination
- Guide prospective residents and families through the move-in process with compassion, clarity, and hospitality.
- Ensure a seamless transition for every new resident, partnering with care, dining, and operations teams.
- Represent Solvang as an ambassador of resident-centered service and culture.
Team Collaboration
- Partner with the Executive Director and SHM’s regional leadership to align marketing strategies with companywide initiatives.
- Train team members on phone etiquette, inquiry management, and guest hospitality.
- Actively participate in leadership meetings and occupancy strategy sessions.
