Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Security Specialist II to support our Facility Security Officer (FSO) in managing day-to-day industrial security operations. This entry-to-mid-level role is ideal for candidates with working knowledge of NISPOM and strong commitment to compliance and accuracy. In this role, you will assist with personnel security processing, maintain and organize security documentation and help adherence to government regulations and internal policies. You’ll play a key role in keeping our security program running efficiently, assisting with program security support and will work closely with the FSO to help protect our facility, personnel and programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in managing and maintaining the company’s security program, ensuring compliance with all applicable government regulations and company policies
- Perform administrative security support functions, including tracking and recordkeeping
- Develop, maintain, and evaluate security documentation in coordination with Facility Security Officer (FSO), ISSM, and program/project stakeholders

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week. Typical office hours include Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm; however, these hours may vary based on workload and the manager’s discretion. This job may require more than 40 hours of work per week as the need arises.

About 10% travel is expected for this position.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Must be able to lift 25 pounds and use a ladder with overhead lifting.
