Roles, Expectations & Responsibilities

 

Opportunity, Pipeline, Support

  • Assists in generating new opportunities and quotes using Salesforce and quoting tools
  • Reviews any customer technical specifications and drawings to assist in opportunity assessment and proposal creation
  • Works closely with application engineering team to ensure timely, accurate development and delivery of proposals to clients; assist Regional Sales Managers with active quote follow-up as needed
  • Facilitates the creation of consignment agreements including coordination of sending & returning consignment unit to/from the client

Quote Conversion, Order Entry

  • Reviews purchase orders for accuracy, and assists in resolving any discrepancies
  • Enters orders into Epicor, managing customer expectations and communicating any changes throughout the order lifecycle
  • Follows up on any prior-to-shipment payments, sends approval drawings, and verifies shipping & logistics information

Lab Sample Trials

  • Coordinates the treatment of customer samples with other Sales Support peers and Enercon Lab personnel
  • Has complete ownership of material sample process from Case creation in CRM/ERP, technical detail gathering, RMA issuance, and sending completed lab trial report to the client
  • Attend lab trials when customers come on-site to Enercon office for in-person sample testing with Regional Sales Manager

Post Sale Activities/ Support

  • Assists in territory development by collaborating closely with Regional Sales Manager
  • Uses Salesforce to accurately and consistently document internal & external customer communications
  • Performs post sale follow-ups, ensuring high customer satisfaction and uncovering continued selling opportunities

Lead Cultivation and Follow-Up

  • Ensures all Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL) are followed up on via phone within ten minutes of receipt; practicing a phone first, email second philosophy
  • Introduces active leads, when appropriate to the Regional Sales Manager or other Enercon stakeholders based on application need
  • Collaborates with Marketing and Sales team while being the first point of contact on web chats
  • Actively involved, along with regional sales managers, in tradeshow and webinar lead follow-up

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a similar field or an equivalent amount of related experience
  • If no degree experience in sales support, technical engineering support, inside sales or a related field with a strong technical aptitude.
  • Ability to decipher engineering drawings, photos, and to learn & understand our products on a fundamental level
  • Experience with an ERP and CRM system required, experience with Epicor and Salesforce preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and complete a wide array of activities while under various deadlines
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience in plastics, packaging, or a B2B Industrial sales environment a plus
  • Previous experience with selling a configured or manufactured product is beneficial, as our products are customized and not always “off the shelf”
  • Position is located in the Greater Milwaukee Area, currently considering candidates from Southeastern Wisconsin only

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Work hours are generally during normal business hours, and average 40-45 hours per week
  • Full-time direct hire position with base salary, bonus eligibility and excellent company-sponsored benefits
  • Position is on-site (office based)
  • Periodic tradeshow attendance throughout the year may require some overnight travel
