Roles, Expectations & Responsibilities

Process Improvement

  • Work with Enercon Managers and Staff to identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities.
  • For each project, identify required process owners.
  • As a team, map out current processes.
  • Work with process improvement team to identify waste (re-keying, printouts, excess transportation, wait times, manual process handoffs, system integration points, etc).
  • Develop and map improved (to be) processes.
  • Identify key stakeholders and change agents. Identify critical tasks within new process.
  • Provide project updates using SharePoint Intranet and Email (as required)

Application Development

  • Determine feasibility, costs and time required to support improved processes, whether solution is developed in house or purchased.
  • Develop and communicate a project plan, including key tasks and milestones.
  • Agree to tasks, responsibilities, project timeframe, and deadlines with process team
  • Generate code to support new processes.
  • Assist in development of training materials in support of new process.
  • Document the project, and manage its progress, (task completion, issues, milestones etc) in Enercon SharePoint Intranet site.
  • Deploy Project using IT Project Deployment Checklist
  • Work with process team to track process improvement (develop metrics, reports to track progress)
  • Provide after-hours support for job related critical issues

Application Support

  • Work with required parties to ensure proper application and data backups are being maintained.
  • After go live, conduct a user meeting to identify potential improvement opportunities to our IT Project Deployment Checklist and update accordingly.
  • Contribute to post go live support documentation (with process team) including all Training documents, FAQ, wiki, SharePoint site or Discussion databases, as required.

Other Duties

  • Backup Network Administrator as required. This includes ability to manage all user administration (Active Directory, Email, Application user ids and permissions).
  • Work with Enercon IT vendors and service providers as required.
  • Actively assist and resolve internal Helpdesk tickets
  • Support other areas as assigned. Responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to, the duties listed on this job description.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor or Associates Degree in technology related field and/or exposure/experience in Accounting, Purchasing, Engineering, Management or related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 2 years' experience in a programming or MIS capacity is required. A proven track record in problem resolution and a strong customer service attitude is required.

Functional Area Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  1. Experience areas should include NET (C#/VB) MS Access, MSSQL, and SSRS development skills.
  2. General network and PC troubleshooting abilities.
  3. Prior Experience working with Epicor or another related ERP system
  4. Exhibits high standards of performance, pursues aggressive goals and works diligently to achieve them.
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Strong problem solving skills.
  7. Ability to work under deadlines and set priorities for diverse range of projects including managing multiple projects at any one time.
  8. Capacity to work efficiently in a team oriented environment and independently from start to finish on select projects.
  9. Highly detail oriented with superior organizational skills.
  10. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form, with a wide range of individuals.
