TI-Trust, Inc., located in Quincy, Illinois is an Illinois trust company specializing in providing a variety of services to personal trust, farm services, and employee benefit clients, managing over 19 billion dollars in assets. This position is responsible for providing legal support in the practice of law to the Chief Legal Officer in legal assessments and risk management counseling in addition to oversight of legal and regulatory compliance.

 

Compensation for this position includes a base salary of $75,000 - $100,000 and may vary based on the applicant’s job-related skills, knowledge, experience, and other factors.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Chief Legal Officer in oversight of investigations of specific client account administration issues or threatened litigation.
  • Reviews and drafts corporate and legal documents.
  • Provides assistance in human resource management of personnel, including training.
  • Provides advice on other relevant legal matters, including corporate records, statutory qualifications, and legislative changes.
  • Assist in the development and review of other departmental and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Assist in controlling amount of legal expenses incurred.

Qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: 

  • Preference for in-house counsel experience.
  • Experience in legal, audit, compliance, or risk management a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Juris Doctor Degree

Other Requirements:

  • Valid Illinois bar license required.
    • Applicants who sat for Illinois July 2025 bar exam welcome to apply. Verification of admission to the bar required for continued employment.
  • Must be detail oriented and organized along with very good oral and written communication skills
  • Must be experienced in using Excel, Word, and Outlook with the ability to learn other computer applications.
  • Must be assertive, goal oriented, and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to draft and interpret technical/legal documents.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
