Position: Weather Forecaster
Essential Functions
MIRACORP is seeking qualified Weather Forecasters to provide highly accurate, fine-scale weather forecasts using advanced meteorological tools and techniques. This role is vital in supporting Department of Defense (DoD) operations by delivering precise weather intelligence for military installations, aircrews, ground forces, planners, and decision-makers.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Weather Forecast Production: Develop digital weather products, data fields, and services using satellite, radar, lightning, and observational data.
- Military Weather Support: Forecast base/post conditions, provide weather warnings, and brief transient air crews.
- Mission Execution Forecasts (MEFs): Generate detailed forecasts for takeoff, enroute travel, destinations, and air refueling tracks worldwide.
- Operational Meteorology: Analyze climatic regimes, terrain, centralized weather products, and indigenous surface/upper air reports to refine forecast accuracy.
- Decision-Cycle Weather Input: Shape, plan, and execute forecasts supporting Air Force, Army, Guard, Reserve, and combatant command operations.
- Hazard Monitoring: Track severe weather phenomena such as lightning, icing, and turbulence to provide real-time advisories.
- Technical Forecast Adjustments: Modify centrally developed forecasts to ensure mission-specific accuracy and relevance.
- Security & Compliance: Maintain COMSEC, OPSEC, and COMPUSEC standards in meteorological operations.
- Training & Oversight: Mentor trainees, ensuring proficiency in mission-specific weather forecasting.
- Emergency Weather Analysis: Deliver critical guidance during severe weather events, combat operations, and high-stress emergency scenarios.
