Plant Maintenance Technician II

Job Summary:

We’re looking for a Plant Maintenance Technician II to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance on a variety of manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operations.

Primary Job Responsibilities Include:

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on plant machinery, production equipment, tools, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and implement timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose malfunctions using manuals, schematics, and testing instruments.
• Fabricate and weld components as needed for equipment repairs and modifications.
• Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and parts; request reorders as necessary.
•  Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, and parts inventory as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including machine upgrades, layout changes, and efficiency projects.
• Assist with installation, relocation, or decommissioning of equipment as required.
• Train new employees in proper maintenance procedures as needed.
• Perform additional work-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read blue prints, technical manuals, and schematics
• Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools, power tools, and hand tools
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe work practices
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Welding, fabrication, and machining skills are preferred
• Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance
• Experience with CNC machines and robotic systems
• Background in automotive accessories industry or truck cap manufacturing

Physical Demands:

• Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, and bending
• Moderate to considerable focusing of eyes to view electronic control screen and similar machine control displays
• Frequent amount of lifting and moving parts

Working Conditions:

• Frequent work in a non-climate-controlled environment with seasonal temperature changes
• Considerable exposure to noise levels from manufacturing equipment
• Occasional to frequent overtime may be required
