Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience
- Experience conducting examinations while maintaining chain of custody and formulating interpretation results for forensic and/or intelligence exploitation
- Experience with administrative and technical review (AR/TR) lab procedures
- Experience performing quality checking of instruments and reagents
- A skills assessment is required (4-5 months in Atlanta). Hotel and per diem will be included candidates located outside the region. Subsequent deployments to Bahrain, Kuwait, Djibouti, or Iraq are possible, with final deployment locations being determined by the customer
- Once selected to work in partner labs run by the Defense Forensics Science Center (DFSC), candidate must be able to pass competency and proficiency tests administered at DFSC. The inability to pass the competency test and remain proficient as required can possibly result in removal from the contract

- Professional certifications such as Association of Firearm and Tool Mark Examiners (AFTE)
- Experience with utilizing and submitting to national databases
