This position is responsible for overseeing the daily entry of gifts into the donor database, ensuring all data is recorded accurately and promptly. This role also includes maintaining and updating constituent information in accordance with CHS’ data standards. The Coordinator also supports and cross-trains with the Development Database Manager, assisting with complex gift processing and data entry issues, and providing timely problem resolution.

The coordinator will steward donors through timely and accurate acknowledgement of their gifts, providing call-backs and email responses to donation inquiries. Through personalized communication and impactful stewardship, the coordinator will ensure every donor understands the difference their ongoing support makes for pets in need. Connecticut Humane Society is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V.

A look at some of the job responsibilities:

Data Management (70%):

· Ensure gift entry and acknowledgment for mail and online philanthropy programs (including checks, recurring gifts, tribute gifts, EFT/ACH, and social media campaigns).

· Manage donor profiles with a high attention to detail and do research into donors as needed.

· Apply quality control measures, performing regular data audits to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

· Provide input for and make contributions to address various donor record and stewardship quality improvement projects

Recurring Donor Coordination and Donor Engagement (30%):

· Serve as the main point of contact for all recurring donor transactions.

· Answer questions from donors regarding donations or transactions.

· Create and send out monthly emails and annual statements.

· Generate receipts and other documentation based on donor needs

· Cultivate and steward $50-$99 donors including: thank you calls, personal notes and emails.

· Assist with technical aspects of online fundraising platforms.

Qualifications

· One to three years’ experience working with Blackbaud or similar CRM database. Also proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.

· Must have experience working with and analyzing data.

· Must be detail oriented and have strong time management skills.

· Great communication and listening skills needed, prior experience working with clients or customers is beneficial.

· Must be self-motivated.
