About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic Podcast, Public Relations & Social Media Manager, to lead and execute high-impact storytelling across owned, earned, and social media channels. This full-time, Pittsburgh-based role will report directly to our Chief Executive Officer while coordinating closely with our Director of Marketing and play a key role in elevating the visibility of Forever® and its leadership through media relations, digital engagement, and the FOREVER with Glen Meakem video podcast.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Video Podcast Management – FOREVER with Glen Meakem

  • Lead the end-to-end production and promotion of Forever’s flagship video podcast, FOREVER with Glen Meakem.
  • Develop editorial calendars, book high-quality guests, prepare interview materials, and manage pre- and post-production workflows.
  • Collaborate with our internal production team to ensure excellence in video/audio quality, publishing, and distribution.
  • Maximize podcast reach and impact across YouTube, social media, and other digital platforms.

Public Relations & Thought Leadership

  • Build and execute a strategic PR plan to raise brand awareness and position Forever® as a category leader.
  • Cultivate relationships with national, regional, and niche media outlets, especially in tech, lifestyle, family, genealogy, and memory-keeping spaces.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, pitches, op-eds, executive bios, and award submissions.
  • Identify and secure speaking engagements, interviews, and editorial opportunities for our CEO and other executives.

 

Social Media Strategy & Community Engagement

  • Partner with other members of our Marketing team to manage Forever’s social media presence across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube.
  • Develop and execute a content strategy and publishing calendar aligned with company goals and key campaigns.
  • Create or coordinate production of engaging visuals, videos, and copy.
  • Monitor performance metrics, analyze trends, and continuously optimize content and engagement strategy.

Actively manage and grow community relationships, including moderating comments and responding to messages.

What is required:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or another relevant field required.
  • 3–7+ years of experience in public relations, digital media, and/or podcast or video production.
  • Proven success managing podcasts, video series, or media-facing content.
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and communication skills.
  • Outgoing, sales-oriented personality – not afraid to contact new people and create new relationships.
  • Experience with social media management platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for storytelling, family, and preserving legacy is highly valued.
