JOB OVERVIEW
The Director of Pricing will play a critical role in improving our pricing processes across the Independent, Big-Box and 2-step distribution channels. They will help define our market positioning, work to maximize profitability and drive market share gains with the Sales team. This individual will work closely with Product Marketing to commercialize new products and will play an integral role with the Sales and Operations teams in the forecasting process. Working with ATW commercial leadership, they will be active in iterating and implementing our Go-to-Market for the Trailer Division.
Job Responsibilities
Pricing Strategy Development:
Develop and implement pricing strategies for the ATW Trailers business unit to align with the company's financial goals and market conditions. This includes five brands- Big Tex, PJ, BWise, Carry On and RC.
Conduct competitive analysis to identify pricing opportunities and threats and respond accordingly
Collaborate with the pricing, marketing, product and sales teams to develop general and promotional pricing strategies.
Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct market research to understand customer behavior, preferences, and trends.
Analyze industry trends and economic conditions to inform pricing decisions.
Monitor competitor pricing and adjust strategies accordingly.
Financial Analysis:
Perform financial analysis to assess the impact of pricing decisions on profitability.
Develop pricing models and tools to support decision-making.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on pricing performance and recommendations.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with the finance, marketing, product, sales and operations teams to ensure pricing strategies are effectively implemented.
Communicate pricing strategies and changes to relevant stakeholders.
Provide training and support to sales teams on pricing policies and procedures.
Continuous Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and improve pricing processes and tools, including automation and intelligence tools
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in pricing.
Skills
- Strong understanding of pricing strategies and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial modeling tools (power BI).
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
- 10 years of proven experience in pricing, financial analysis, or a related field.
- Proficiency in pricing software and tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
