Position: Catering Supervisor

Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Compensation: With tips, $22-$30/hour

Availability Expectations: Full- and part-time positions available

About Position:

The Catering Supervisor oversees day-to-day operations while providing excellent customer service and exceeding guest/client expectations. A successful Catering Supervisor has strong communication skills, thinks on their feet, is attentive to detail, and always leads by example. The ideal candidate for this role is an independent, hands-on leader dedicated to creating and maintaining a positive work environment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervise FOH employees during setup, execution, and breakdown of events
  • Read & comprehend event orders
  • Main point of contact for client/coordinators during events 
  • Effectively communicate with upper management, Back-of-House staff, and catering sales manager
  • Maintaining a culture of teamwork, accountability, and success
  • Maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
  • Communicate product ordering needs with upper management

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of catering and/or event experience  

  • Experience with time management and multitasking  

  • Strong presentation, communication, training and interpersonal skills  

  • Analytical and conceptual skills  

  • Demonstrable record of understanding and meeting customer expectations
