About the Position:
Catering a Fresco, the exclusive food and beverage partner of the Overture Center for the Arts, is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our operations. This unique role blends the fast pace of high-volume catering with the creativity of working in a world-class performing arts venue. From elegant weddings and corporate galas to Broadway shows, concerts, and special events, the General Manager ensures every guest experience is seamless and exceptional.
You’ll oversee all aspects of operations, including front- and back-of-house management, event execution, staff training and development, financial performance, and strategic marketing initiatives. This is a hands-on role for a hospitality-first leader with the ability to manage multiple overlapping events and the business acumen to meet or exceed revenue, profit, and cost-control goals.
If you thrive in a dynamic environment, excel at building and leading high-performing teams, and are energized by the idea of running both large-scale events and the daily food and beverage program in a vibrant arts setting, this role offers the perfect stage for your talents.
Job Requirements:
- 3–5 years of relevant management experience in food & beverage operations, with a proven track record in either high-volume catering or managing multiple overlapping events/shows.
- Strong leadership skills with experience training, motivating, and managing teams of 25+ employees.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills, with a hospitality-first mindset.
- Proven profit & loss expertise, including revenue growth, labor management, cost of goods sold, and expense control.
- Experience in event planning and execution, ideally within performing arts venues or similar environments.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting with shifting priorities.
- ServSafe and Responsible Seller certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment).
