Maintenance Technician -Austin Region (FT)

Fitness Connection is looking for a hands-on, self-managed Maintenance Technician to support multiple gym locations across your region. If you’re mechanically inclined, love solving problems, and want a job that keeps you moving—not stuck behind a desk—this is the opportunity for you.

We’re looking for someone who can repair fitness equipment, fix minor facility issues, and keep our clubs in peak condition. You’ll work independently, manage your schedule, and respond to service tickets using your own fully stocked company-provided vehicle and tools.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Diagnose and repair fitness equipment (treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, etc.)
• Perform general maintenance including lighting, plumbing, electrical, and minor repairs
• Travel to assigned club locations to address maintenance and repair requests
• Use manufacturer support lines for troubleshooting and part ordering
• Respond to work orders using our digital ticketing system
• Conduct preventive maintenance and regular inspections to reduce equipment downtime
• Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs
• Maintain inventory and manage tools, parts, and supplies
• Communicate with gym staff to schedule repairs with minimal disruption to members
• Ensure all work meets safety standards and regulatory compliance

What We’re Looking For:

• Prior experience in general maintenance, equipment repair, facilities, or similar hands-on work
• Mechanically inclined with basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems
• Self-starter who can work independently and prioritize multiple jobs
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to use or learn ticketing systems and communicate with vendors/manufacturers
• Willingness to travel between locations regularly (company vehicle provided)
• High integrity, reliability, and accountability when handling tools and equipment
• Ability to be on-call for emergency maintenance needs
• Clean driving record required
