The Cedars is looking for a part-time Housekeeper/Floor care Worker to join our team! This position will work 24 hours per week between Floor care and Housekeeping. During the week this position will work 8 hour shifts and rotating 4 hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday.

Job Functions:

• Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
• Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
• Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
• Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace and refill chemicals.
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices
• Floor care tech will be responsible to maintain clean floors in all areas.
• Sweeping, Extracting, and buffing of floors
• Cleaning of soiled upholstery of chairs on campus.
• Other job duties assigned per supervisor

Desirable:

• High school diploma or equivalency. Must be able to read and write English.
• Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 50 pounds)
• Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking
• Pushes/pulls or moves/lifts heavy equipment/supplies.
• Able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, cleaning instructions, etc.
• Manual dexterity and mobility.
• Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
• May be exposed to patient demands and to frequent interruptions which may require rescheduling of cleaning activities.
