Pool Attendant - Seasonal

Job Summary:

The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment in and around the pool area. This position ensures guest satisfaction by providing excellent customer service, enforcing pool rules and safety procedures, and supporting daily pool operations. Responsible for pool bar cleanliness, setup and proper stock, assist floor staff with expo and food running.

Shift Requirements:

Part time, primarily Mid shifts Thursday/Friday/ Saturday and Sunday starting at 10am

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing/Walking: Constantly. Concrete, tile, rubber mats covering tile, carpet, stairs.
  • Crouching (Bend at knees): Constantly. Lift heavy objects, put supplies and dishes away, lower shelving in walk-ins and storage areas.
  • Stooping (Bend at waist): Constantly. Loading and unloading dishes and supplies.
  • Reaching (Overhead/Extension): Frequently. Putting inventory away.
  • Twisting/Turning (Knees, waist, neck): Constantly. Answering the telephone, reaching for dishing up, washing pots, running warmers, loading and unloading the dish machine, carts and racks, and other stocking.
  • Climbing: Frequently. Putting glasses, pots, silver, supplies away, step ladder, stepping stool.
  • Crawling/Kneeling: Occasionally. Reach/retrieve items from hard to reach places.
  • Handling: Constantly. Pots, pans, dishes, silverware, glasses, chemicals, soaps, hot water.
  • Balancing: Frequently. Putting dishes, silver, supplies away and working by hot equipment.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Average weight: Constantly. Racks, carts weighting between 1 to 150 pounds. Maximum weight: Occasionally 200 pounds.
  • Lifting/Carrying: Average weight: Constantly. Supplies, plates, ports, pans, glasses, mops, chemicals weighting between 1 to 75 pounds. Maximum weight: Occasionally 100 pounds.
  • Near vision: Constantly. Corrected to 20/40 (hot, sharp objects).
  • Full field of vision: Frequently. Handle all aspects of a busy and active dishroom area.
  • Smell: Occasionally. Detect potential hazards and odors.

 

Working Environment: OUTDOORS MAINLY

  • Interior of hotel, in the Restaurant, Lounge and Kitchen, with exposure to extreme temperatures
  • Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
  • Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous chemicals.
  • Exposure to food items and beverages.

 

DUTIES & FUNCTIONS:

Essential:

  1. Assist with bar set-up, opening and closing
  2. Stock the bar station to par and restock when needed.
  3. Assist with Expo and Food Running duties

Basics:

  1. Attend required meetings
  2. Keep work areas clean and organized
  3. Be extremely courteous to all customers and fellow employees
  4. Report unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately
  5. Maintain hotel equipment in proper working conditions.
  6. Any other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor
