Job Description

 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead our Chip on Submount Production team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, along with a track record of successful leadership in a fast-paced production environment. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of integrated circuits (ICs) mounted on Submount, ensuring quality, efficiency, and optimal performance.

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Chip on Submount Production team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high levels of productivity and employee engagement.

  • Drive the implementation of production strategies, goals, and objectives to meet production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality control, and supply chain, to optimize production processes and resolve any production-related issue.

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production performance, yield, and efficiency. Implement corrective actions as necessary to meet or exceed KPI targets.

  • Implement and maintain best practices for safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance within the production environment.

  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization while maintaining high product quality standards.

  • Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in semiconductor manufacturing to ensure the team remains at the forefront of innovation.

  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on production progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with a focus on Chip on Submount production.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing production teams and achieving production targets.

  • In-depth knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials related to Chip on Submount production.

  • Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive implementation.

  • Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement is desirable.

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment

 

 

The full-time base salary range for the Manager CoS Production position is $144,000 to $170,000 per annum.  The range reflects the minimum and maximum possible base salary for new hires for the role, based on the advertised location. Individual pay is determined by several factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.
