  • 2+ years of experience working within a database, including data entry, queries, reporting, etc. Knowledge of a development database, specifically Donor Perfect is highly desirable.
  • Excellent project management skills: ability to organize, determine priorities, and follow through promptly; ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities to meet timelines and deadlines.
  • Exemplary oral and written communications skills.
  • Professional and engaging customer service on the phone and in person; ease in initiating contacts with other individuals and groups

The rate of pay for this position is $23 - $25 per hour.

The Development and Marketing Coordinator (DMC) will assist in building a comprehensive development program for the APF. The DMC is an integral member of the Development team and is responsible for ensuring donor gifts are recorded accurately and providing donors with appropriate and timely gift acknowledgement.

The DMC will ensure donor information is tracked in the database and recorded accurately. This position is essential to the data integrity of the donor database and executes best practices for data management. The DMC will work closely with the Director of Development (DoD) in segmenting donor and gift data to drive identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. The DMC assists with planning and execution of fundraising activities and events. The DMC will also prepare content and create graphics for the APF social media accounts with oversight from the DoD.

This position typically works 40 hours, Monday – Friday. However, flexibility will be required to work extended hours as necessary, including occasional evening or weekend hours for community events, meetings, and trainings.

 

Qualifications

          Required:

  • 2+ years of experience working within a database, including data entry, queries, reporting, etc. Knowledge of a development database, specifically DP is highly desirable.
  • Excellent project management skills: ability to organize, determine priorities, and follow through promptly; ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities to meet timelines and deadlines.

Highly Desirable:

  • 1+ years of successful, nonprofit, development experience.
  • Experience with successful special events; fundraising/cultivation events for donors and prospects highly desirable.
  • High level of discretion and ethical approach to fundraising.
